The current band was formed in 1993 as a result of a merge between the Aveley Band and the Newham Band, the two most successful bands in the area.
The band very much looks ahead and has exciting ambitions of continued success for the future. This website has information of all engagements, successes and personnel as well as a secure online shop to purchase recordings of the band. We hope that you enjoy your visit.

A touth decision for David Read at Yeovil meant 4th place and Best Soprano with a Programme "So Well Directed" by Nigel Taken.
The Aveley & Newham Band would like to invite all players to bring there instruments along to an Open Rehearsal on Thursday 27th November 2008. Nigel Taken, the Band's MD will be rehearsing pieces including next years Area and Grand Shield test pieces.
The band are delighted to sign 4 new cornet players over the summer. Rhys Cave, Sarah Beale, Richard Meads and David Marley have all joined and we wish them many years of success with the band.
